Tall Brain is a project headed by Nicholas Marriott that fuses mathcore precision with free jazz, embracing the absurdity of music performance. Featuring Adam Kyle on tenor sax, Bahar Khazei on keys, Chris Blaber on drums, Nikko Whitworth on bass, who are classical/jazz musicians active in Vancouver's music scene. Tall Brain performances contain non sequiturs such as giving out tax information or sewing demos to give the audience members concerned with their financial situation an advantage when attending our shows. Their sound is a chaotic yet compelling mix of jagged rhythms, dissonant harmonies, and dense improvisation.
