The Brahmankind is an international art-rock band based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. They don’t strictly fall into any specific genre, but what is common in their music are influences from different cultures, from Balkan and Slavic bashavel and ballads to ancient festivals filled with modes and ornaments, classical music bravery and experiments, episodic structures with climaxes and surprises, naturally felt melodies written in odd time signatures, consonances and dissonances hugging each other. Everything melted together, formed into one unique atmosphere, where childishness and monumentality, awkward honesty, saints and perverts met. 

Thematically, their music is sometimes deeper, sometimes satiric, mostly satiric. From real-life-inspired stories to fantasies, it opens doors for a psychological odyssey of characters and the absurdity of life, where the villains talk about their joys and how they make the world a better place, and goodies talk about what they’re ashamed of.
